Real Madrid held to a draw by Las Palmas
Real Madrid relied on a penalty from Vinicius Junior in the 69th minute to salvage a 1-1 draw against Las Palmas on Thursday, avoiding their first league defeat of the season. The penalty came after Alex Suarez was penalized for a handball.
Earlier, Madrid had fallen behind to a fifth-minute goal from Alberto Moleiro.
The draw marks Real Madrid’s second in their last three La Liga matches, leaving them fourth in the standings, four points behind Barcelona.
In other La Liga action, Girona defeated Osasuna 4-0 in a dominant performance. Osasuna managed just one shot—off target—and failed to win any corners, with only two touches in Girona’s penalty area. Bryan Gil scored first in the 34th minute, followed by Viktor Tsygankov and Abel Ruiz, who netted goals within a three-minute span around the 53rd minute to seal the victory.
